I Juice!

Living in the Central Valley of California there is always an abundance of fruits and vegetables right in my backyard.
So last year I bought a Jack LaLanne Juicer.
This thing is awesome!
I checked out a few juicing books from the library and found recipes for all sorts of health-inspiring juice combinations.

You need energy?
Want to boost brain power?
Heal from disease?
Improve your circulation?
Cleanse your colon?
Juicing can do that for ya.  Of course I don't remember exactly which fruits and veggies do exactly what, or in what combination, but they all do something important.

I do know that beets are great for cleansing.  Trust me.

I just juice whatever I happen to have on hand.
So I never know exactly what I'm going to get.

Antioxidants, phytonutrients, enzymes ...
it's all in there and it's all good.

Do you juice?
Cheers!

Oh gee nope not a juicer here. Every once in a while I get a wild craving for ice cold apple juice. But it's only like once a year.

We are juicers too! We aren't very consistent though...used to be. We bought a Juiceman Juicer about 12 or so years ago. We REALLY want the Jack Lalanne one though..it looks much easier to clean. My mom beat cancer juicing...it's just a great easy way to stay healthy. And yes, beets will clean you out!!!

Your fruit looks SOOOOO yummy and beautiful pics!! We don't juice because we don't have a juicer (though we want one). But I do use my blender for smoothies. Blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, ground flax seed, flax oil, raw milk, raw honey, raw egg, orange juice, and kale (for greens). Mmmmmm. You'd never know the kale was in there so I can sneak it in on the kids. I'm making this for breakfast tomorrow. Thanks for reminding me!

I have always wanted a juicer...my brother is a big weight-lifter and he has a Jack LaLane juicer. Loves it.

I need one...I spend my summers growing a bojillion tomatoes, strawberries, green peppers, squash, and cucumbers. Not to mention all the basil, parsley, and rosemary we grow.

OK, yeah--I need a juicer. Thanks, Linda!

I have a friend who is always 'juicing' me up with something... got a headache? drink this... feeling tired? drink this... husband mad at you? drink this... JK! But I'll bet she could come up with something! ;D I have never lived anywhere where the produce was fresher than the San Joaquin valley. The last time I was there, I flew into Sacramento and drove for ages with the windows open because I swear I could smell hot tomatoes! :D

I would like to juice. I like the idea of juicing. In theory. I even have a juicer, but it's not a good one. But, vegetable juice literally makes me vomit. I can't stand tomato juice, or V8 or anything. The closest I come is those V8 Fusion things that are pretty sweet. I know the health benefits of juicing are great. I with I could figure out a way to get it intravenously.

I love fresh juice. Unfortunetaly, I don't have a juicer. So I end juicing by hand....Which still turns out good but man the labor involved usually means we only get about a small glass each. I Am getting a juicer soon. Mostly because you just can't juice a carrot or pomegranate by hand.
