When it rains ...

It dumped buckets here last night.
The whole show.
I love it!

Hubby was flying in from Houston,
thankfully he was ahead of most of the activity.

Once he was home, we sat down to watch American Idol that we had recorded.
Then ...
... it let loose!
The dog started jumping and barking.
Our almost 4-year old bolts out of bed and comes running.
And American Idol went over it's time slot and we missed Adam Lambert's performance.  Thank goodness for YouTube!

So ... do you know what movie this photo is from?  It's one of my favorites.
Do you like storms?
Are you watching American Idol?  Who's your pick?

OK, don't hate me...but I quit watching AI when that gross Taylor Hicks dude won. But my mom's all into it, so I watched bits and pieces last night with her. And that Lambert dude? Um...heck to the no!

The song he sang, "Mad World," is one of my all-time favorites...Tears for Fears did it originally, but my fave version was recorded by a guy named Gary Jules and it's AMAZING...haunting...beautiful. But I was literally cringing over that Adam person's version last night. He massacred it! Even my 7 year said, "He has ruined that song." Indeed. And Simon is an idiot for standing up for that lamespice performance. Ewwwwwww!

OK, rant over. Don't hate me.

I knew it was Back to the Future. I loved that movie. And, I don't watch AI. I never ever have. Not even one episode. It's not that I have anything against it. I just... prefer other types of shows. I like detective dramas, when I do watch tv. Which isn't often. Oh yeah, and soaps.
Oh yeah, and the storm? We completely slept through it. Unless it didn't get all the way to Reedley. Although we did have an inch of rain in the rain gauge.

Back to the Future - Love it!

Yeah, wasn't it a show last night? We got it HEAVY in the middle of the night. I stayed up with the dogs until 2am because they kept barking at it, which they never do. It was like a bomb over our house. I was waiting for the tiles on the roof to fall in. And I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT! lol

Ha! Everyone else beat me to it! :D My daughter has found the joy of the BTF trilogy. She even just had a BTF marathon. Gotta love a girl who finds the joy in 80s movies! :D

I don't watch AI. I have tried to watch a few times, but I just can't get into it. It just drags on too long for me. I have a LOT of family who watch and call each other during, so I tried to catch AI fever, but no joy. Boo. :D

I haven't watched any of A.I. this year...can you believe that?! I hear the talent is great this year, so I really need to watch at least one episode. That rain storm was rather exciting for Fresno! I love the rain and I love big storms...must be that Kentucky upbringing.
